Default SA seamers toil for no reward

The South African seamers were left horribly disillusioned in the warm-up match in Fatullah, Bangladesh, against a local Council XI on a pitch that gave them little or no assistance on Tuesday.
On Tuesday's third and final day, the Protea bowlers were bowling either too short or too full. And the home side's batsmen exploited that, even though it looked at times as if anyone would have been able to bat on that pitch.

Proteas skipper Graeme Smith hopes they will be able to use what they have learned here in the first test against Bangladesh in Dhaka, which starts on Friday.

The Council team declared their first innings closed on Tuesday on 412/8 in reply to South Africa's 397 runs.

The visitors were 47/0 after nine overs in their second innings when it was decided to call it a day.
