Default Australia’s Michael Hussey May Be “Mr Cricket” But Needs To Know Much About Captaincy

Middle order batsman Michael Hussey could be Australia’s best finisher at the moment and rightly carries the tag of “Mr Cricket” for his country, but he certainly needs to learn more about captaincy.
The left hander’s recent exploits under pressure situations could certainly be unmatched among his peers but his uncanny ability to finish off a match would remain world’s envy.
The man known as “Mr Cricket” has become the new saviour of Australia’s one-day team barring what he reaped as a poor captain when Australia suffered a whitewash in the Chappell-Hadlee Series.
He could be the best thing to have happened to Australian cricket after the departure of Michael Bevan – a player who bloomed under crisis every time he held the bat in his hand.
Like Bevan, Hussey is at his best when the pressure is really on, batting with the tail and chasing a target that seems out of reach.
