Young Emily Thorne (VanCamp) moves to the Hamptons by renting a small house near the beach, only to make acquaintance with the powerful Grayson family, led by Conrad (Henry Czerny) and his incredibly calculating and manipulative wife Victoria (Madeleine Stowe).
As Emily makes friends with the Graysons' son Daniel (Josh Bowman), Victoria becomes wary of
Revenge Box Set 1 new arrival in the area, despite her apparent incredible wealth and good nature. And so she should: Emily Thorne is in fact an alias created by Amanda Clarke (still VanCamp), daughter of former Grayson friend and ally David Clarke (James Tupper, in flashbacks), who was framed for heinous crimes of fraud and terrorism, only to be left out as a scapegoats by the Graysons and their close associates.
With the help of incredibly wealthy and antisocial tech genius Nolan Ross (Gabriel Mann), a friend of Amanda's father, Emily/Amanda seeks out all the people who plotted against her father, until she sees them suffer utter ruin.
