One Tree Hill Box Set is based out of a fictional town. Tree Hill, North Carolina. The beginning season had the cast in high school, and this continued up until the fifth season. At the beginning of season six, the time line is forwarded ahead four years to portray the cast after college. In the beginning, the five main characters are not even acquaintances with each other. Two students, Haley and Lucas, are best friends and then there is Nathan, Peyton and Brooke. As the story unwinds, One Tree Hill viewers discover that Lucas Scott and Nathan Scott are half brothers.

Bones Box Set share the same father. Unfortunately, for Lucas, his father Dan wasn't around for his life, but he is at this point. Lucas was raised by his mother, Karen, and his uncle Keith. Brooke Davis's parents are not shown in the early seasons of One Tree Hill, but her mother is later shown in following seasons. Peyton Sawyer's mother passed away, but her dad is on some episodes of each season. Nathan Scott has both parents whom are very wealthy. His dad, Dan Scott, eventually becomes the mayor of Tree Hill.

One Tree Hill is call about high school basketball. Both Scott sons are on CSI New York Box Set basketball team, the Ravens. In the beginning, these two could not stand each other, but they later earned respect for each other. Peyton and Brook are two of the cheerleaders for the Ravens basketball team, with Brooke as the captain. Haley eventually becomes a cheerleader in the last year of high school, as a favor to Brooke, but she is really known for being the tutor girl.
