I recall my visions memories that i was once bowling with a synthetic season ball to a former indian batsman named ashok malhotra who nowdays seen on cricket tv presentations! So i remember that i was bowling quick to him and even bowled some bouncers which struck his helmet grill. But he had unusual knack of putting across his front foot stride and struck some strokes. The strokes then off the bat without effort and without full swing of the bat.
So i was thinking as india is a batsman's paradise so fast bowlers tend to find it difficult to take wickets.
Then suddenly legendary imran khan entered the mumbai field. And all were shocked and taken aback as how come a retired cricketer could bowl. But imran khan ran a slow run-up and bowled a perfect bouncer to indian batsman ashok malhotra. When my bouncers had just grazed the batsman, old man imran khan's bouncer hit hard on the helmet. Well you might say that i am just imagining things.
Then to my surprise came in pakistani batsman javed miadad who was called the sly fox never gave his wicket away. As he was known he too stroked some shots and many indians were taken aback to see him.
Just then a city bus came and came in former indian nemesis of javed miadad batting fast bowler javagal srinath. Who then started a small cricket practise match on the ground! With javagal srinath bowling some seamers and javed miadad pushing at deliveries!
As in the bigger ocean, every small fish gets eaten by a big fish which then gets eaten by another bigger fish...
So another foreign bus came and surprise cricketeers were seen wicketkeeper david boon, glenn mcgrath and steve waugh!
To disrupt this small party then came the bigger fish, sachin tendulkar himself. Glenn mcgrath bowled his nagging straight line and sachin like magic was hitting the synthetic ball on the up.
Even i batted against steve waugh seamers and i was not able to play his outswing. It was a big enjoyment!
In the afternoon, when everyone was leaving the field came in curtly ambrose and courtney walsh. But even they could never took sachin's wicket!
This scenario says that cricket playing cricketeers are very few and reminiscent like as 1992 world cup!
So as i remember that fast bowlers infact run-up slow and action is also slow but like imran khan, glenn mcgrath...somehow upon pitching the ball hits hard on the bat!!!
But allan donald of 1992 times was really a fastest bowler but he never came to play with me!
Also as you see that cricket is not a childrens game, but who infact is trying to play as children?
