Cricket Kenya have appointed South African Andy Kirsten as their new coach.

The 44-year-old, who is the half-brother of new India coach Gary Kirsten, replaces former West Indies all-rounder Roger Harper who declined to renew his two-year contract last September.

Kirsten has enjoyed success with the Kenyan team previously when he was an assistant to Sandeep Patil during the 2003 World Cup when they reached the semi-finals.
