All great bowlers you've got listed there, MAF (MadAfridiFan).
I've gone for the mighty DK because he's not only a great bowler, but because...
- He returned from serious injury as a better, smarter, more complete bowler than ever.
- He once used an aluminium bat.
- He kicked Javed Miandad... & we all know that every fast bowler has wanted to do it!
- Currently, he's widely regarded as the worlds best fast bowling coach.
- He had the most beautifully fluid bowling action I've ever seen.
- He wasn't afraid of the establishment, & was one of the first to sign up for WSC.
- The bowling + the mo + the hair + the swagger + the glare = one truly menacing fast bowler!
I'm a hard-core atheist, but if I did have a god it'd be Dennis Keith Lilley!
I would have gone for Joel Garner, if he was on the list. I used to do my best to mimic the "Big Bird" when playing backyard cricket when I was a kid.
I loved all the fast bolwers form the dominant West Indian teams of the 80's.
There are great bowlers on that list but some of them I have never actually watched and only read about them. Shawn Pollock would have to be the greatest for me, I grew up watching him and was always in awe at his performances with the ball. Recently he has been struggling with a few niggling injuries, but yeah when he's in form he's still one of my best fast bowlers ever.
I voted Shoaib, I based my vote on who was my favourite not necesarily the greatest bowler. I love watching Shoaib's antics and celebrations, oh yer and also he is very fast!!
