Arnberger, Moss miss contracts

Batsman Jason Arnberger and all-rounder Jon Moss have been left off the list of Victorian contracted players for the 2007-08 season.
The duo played in the victorious Victorian Pura Cup winning team in 2003-04 and combined for 130 first-class matches since their arrival from New South Wales.
Neither player has officially announced their retirement from the game, with Moss set to head back to Sydney with his wife and their recently born baby daughter.
Victorian coach Greg Shipperd paid tribute to the veterans, pointing out that they played a large part in the resurgence of Victorian cricket over the past ten years.
"These two players have given tremendous service to Victorian cricket over a long period," Shipperd said.
"Arnie's record places him among some of the best openers of his era, while Mossy has been a terrific all-rounder who has provided match-winning contributions on many occasions."
Moss, who averaged 35.01 with the bat and 33.93 with the ball throughout his first-class career, was thankful for the opportunity that Victoria game him when he switched states in 2000.
"I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity the Bushrangers provided me," Moss said.
"I've achieved far more than I'd ever anticipated and worn the Victorian colours with pride. While I will treasure the relationships and moments I shared with my team-mates, I'm also looking forward to the next chapter in my life."
Grant Lindsay, Peter Nevill and paceman Rob Cassell and Brad Knowles were among the players that also missed out on contracts for the new season.
Amongst the new players to be offered contracts were talented wicketkeeper-batsman Matthew Wade from Tasmania and all-rounder John Hastings from New South Wales.
