Yorkshire captain and former England ace Darren Gough is set to quit the game at the end of the 2008 season.

The 37-year-old fast bowler will lead the Tykes for a second season, having returned to the county from Essex, but then seems set to call time on his illustrious career.

Headingley chief executive Stewart Regan told the Yorkshire Post: "I'm not surprised. We always said that he was going to come to us for two years.
