Default Collingwood says Vaughan retirement a huge loss for England cricket

Michael Vaughan's retirement will be a huge loss to English cricket, batsman Paul Collingwood said Monday as the team prepared for an Ashes series without its former captain.

The 34-year-old Vaughan, who led England as it won the Ashes in 2005, is set to announce his retirement from the sport at a news conference Tuesday after being affected by a chronic right knee injury in recent years.
