Captain Michael Vaughan emerged from England's emphatic warm-up match victory over Bermuda admitting their performance had not really solved any selection issues before their Cricket World Cup opener next week.


England's comprehensive 241-run triumph at Arnos Vale would have pleased coach Duncan Fletcher, with nearly all the batsmen getting a start in their total of 286 for eight.


But with every bowler taking wickets as Bermuda slumped to 45 all out, Glamorgan's David Hemp top scoring with 11, England's dilemma about which two of their four seamers should play against New Zealand on March 16 is no nearer to being settled.
'It's tricky to judge on who's done what in this game,' admitted Vaughan.


Lancashire seamer Anderson claimed two for eight from his five overs, while Gloucestershire captain Lewis grabbed three for seven from four overs and both Sajid Mahmood and Liam Plunkett also claimed wickets against admittedly sub-standard opposition.

But Vaughan insists he is happy to have a selection dilemma like this so close to the start of the tournament, stressing: 'You'd rather have it that way than the other way when we've got injuries.'
