Melbourne: Spin bowling coach Terry Jenner is worried that Australia's plan to blood young spinners in the away cricket series against India might backfire.

Jenner feels that young spinners tend to struggle on Indian pitches and often return home having taking backward steps in their development.

"Every time we take young spinners away to the sub-continent they come back as medium pacers," Jenner was quoted as saying in The Daily Telegraph.
