A brilliant innings of 106 from Sri Lanka's opener Tilkaratne Dilshan enabled Sri Lanka to post a formidable total of 319-8 from their 50 overs.
South Africa made a decent start to their run chase as their captain Graeme Smith scored a fluent half century, but they lost wickets at regular intervals and were 206-7 when the heavens open, and Sri Lanka were declared the winners.
