Australia Vs Sri Lanka. Final match of the preliminary rounds.

Sri Lanka made 221 (50 ov). Braken bowled very well with figures of 4/29 from his 10 overs. His first 8 overs went for only 11 runs.

Australia lost 7 for 30 in the space of an hour to be in real trouble. They lost their first wicket at 109 and their 7th at 140.
They are still 80 odd shy of their target with Hogg and Lee at the crease. I think Sri Lanka are going to pull this off.

Sri Lanka win by 14 runs. Amazing.

Wow great game and even though it didn't really count for anything was probably the best game of the series. If anyone deserved a great sendoff with getting the game-winning wicket it was Jayasuriya. Murali and Jayasuriya's last game in Australia and only two or three more games for Hogg and Gilchrist before they retire. End of the summer series seems to be the best time to retire, a few retirements last year (Langer, McGrath, Warne, Martyn) and then this season with Gilchrist and Hogg.

Cant believe we lost... Our middle order isn't going too well atm, Im expecting a bounce back in the Finals series, good send off too Murali and Jayasuriya, tbf.
