Stumps Day 2 - New Zealand all out for 470. Taylor made 120 and Vettori made 88.
England in reply are 2/87. England lost their first wicket with the score at 84 and put Hoggard in as a nightwatchmen, but he went out 2 overs later for 2. Martin for NZ has both wickets.

Stumps Day 3 - England 286/6 (134.0 ov)

Very slow going by England with Vaughan being the only one to show any real fight scoring 63. Martin and Vettori have 2 wickets each.
Collingwood and Ambrose are the 2 not out batsmen. With Collingwood still there they could be in with a chance to make a contest, but their slow run rate may be their downfall.

A little disapointed if i'm being honest.

We continue the pattern of getting starts, then getting out, which is frustrating.
They really should be scoring big hundreds on this pitch, Vettori & Patel bowled well, so fair play to them, but the pitch isn't doing anything at all, it was a great chance for one of them.

It's looking like a draw now, hopefully Ambrose & Collingwood stick together for a while on day 4 & post a respectable total.

New Zealand have a lead of 269 going in the final day with 2 wickets in hand. England have been very slow to score but if they got rid of the final 2 wickets early and had to chase 270 odd in 80 or so overs they may be in with a chance. They scored very slowly in their first innings so I doubt it.

Play starts in 35 minutes from this post.

NZ have declared at 9/177 leaving England needing 300 from 81 overs. They are currently 0/13 after 2 overs with Cook scoring all the runs. He thinks they can do it by the look of things.

Oh, how quickly things change.

England are now 4/30 with their top 4 batsman all out. Mills has bowling figures of 4/7 from 6 overs.

Even worse now. England are 9/79 with 36 overs remaining.

Edit - New Zealand won by 189 runs

England all out for 110. The 10th wicket partnership was their best. Quite sad really. They may have been in there with a chance.
