Default Timed Out

Guys, exactly how can a batsman be timed out? And can you give me any examples of this?

An incoming batsman must be ready to face a ball (or be at the crease with his partner ready to face a ball) within three minutes of a dismissal otherwise the incoming batsman will be considered timed out. Sorry Bouncer, couldn’t find an example off hand.

Found them! Found them!! Copy this down Bouncer. Obviously, this is one of the most unusual forms of dismissals in international cricket, and as of now, there have been no instances in Tests or ODIs. However, there have been four instances in first-class cricket as a whole. They are: Andrew Jordaan (Eastern Province v Transvaal at Port Elizabeth in 1987–88); Hemulal Yadav (Tripura v Orissa at Cuttack in 1997), Vasbert Drakes (Border v Free State at East London in 2002) and AJ Harris (Nottinghamshire v Durham UCCE at Nottingham in 2003).

Hmmm…I notice two South Africans on that list. Toilet-mad cricketers, eh?
