Kuwait Cricket eyes women’s team
After its impressive performance in the first ever Asian Cricket Council (ACC) sponsored women’s Under 19 cricket tournament in Thailand, Kuwait Cricket is in a process to form a women’s cricket team to participate in the forthcoming ACC T-20 tournament in Malaysia.
Kuwait Cricket would like to invite women cricketers to appear for selection trials at Kuwait Entertainment City cricket ground on May 9 at 7 am. The new format would be similar to the International standards and would be quite interesting and matches will be played at Malaysia from July 1-13, 2009.
Women cricketers in Kuwait will be having a golden opportunity to play for Kuwait National Cricket team and winners will qualify for the forthcoming Asian Games in China, where cricket will be introduced for the first time. Watch out for more interesting information soon.
