FOR the past five years, the standard of cricket in Zimbabwe has been going down, but Zimbabwe Cricket are adamant that this is not necessarily due player departures.
"There was unanimity on the first of these points, but ZC management did not agree that player departures had significantly contributed to the lack of success of the national team.
"The ZC managing director (Ozias Bvute) provided a list of players who were not available for the national team with accompanying reasons for their unavailability," read part of the report by the ICC task force team on the state of the game in Zimbabwe.
