In another twist to the row between India and Australia, India have now accused Australia spinner Brad Hogg of verbal abuse.
In response to Harbhajan Singh’s guilty verdict of racial abuse, India have now claimed that Hogg called an India player a ‘b******’ - a term that is highly offensive in India.
Rajiv Shukla, vice-president of BCCI, said the complaint was lodged with the International Cricket Council on Sunday night while they were hearing the case involving Harbhajan Singh.
“The team management has lodged a complaint. Hogg used abusive language against Anil Kumble on the ground,” Shukla said.
The charge is believed to have taken the Australians by surprise and Hogg’s hearing could be held as early as today.
