Top Australian cricket coach Darren Holder, along with fielding coach Mike Young, will conduct an intense ten-day clinic on the topic of fielding with some young and upcoming West Indies players from June 4-13.

This AUS$20,000 project, granted to the Academy of Sports and Leisure at the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT), is part of the AUS$10 million Australian Sports Outreach Programme (ASOP) initiative that is also being held in conjunction with the Trinidad and Tobago Alliance for Sport and Physical Education (TTASPE).

At the launch of the project at the residence of the Australian High Commissioner in Cascade on Friday, seven young Windies cricketers--Marlon Richard, Kyron Lynch, Vaaroon Samaroo, Deems Baird, Curtis Morton, Valmiki Mahraj, Lauron Francois--were present for the media conference outlining the details of the clinic.

The ASOP/UTT Caribbean Cricket Coaching Programme is intended to support a cadre of budding "West Indies cricketers who have been selected on athletic scholarships at the UTT".
