Australia/are in a good position in their one off ODI against Scotlandat the Grange.
Opener Shane Watson smashed 61 from just 48 balls as Australia reached 128-3 after 20 overs.
Australia are without Ricky Ponting for the start of their limited overs campaign Ponting returned to Australia for a break and Michael Clarke takes over the reigns in his absence.
Widely regarded as one of the most talented cricket players in the world, Ponting will be disappointed to have captained Australia to an Ashes defeat for the 2nd time in 4 years.
A good performance in the Twenty20 and ODI Series against England which gets under way at the weekend would serve as some sort of consolation to Australia.
Australia have won the last 3 ICC World Cup's most recently in 2007 when they triumphed in the West Indies beating Sri Lanka in the final.
Victory against Scotland would be the perfect way for the Aussies to begin their limited over campaign.
