Australia have hammered England by 9 wickets to seal their place in the Finals of the ICC Champions Trophy.
England were given some hope at half time as a superb innings of 80 by Tim Bresnan helped them recover from 110-6 to post a competitive total of257.
However Australia's skipper Ricky Ponting and Opener Shane Watson both hit superb centuries as Australia cruised home for the loss of just one wicket with 8.1 overs to spare.
Australia have been playing some good One day cricket in recent times, they beat England 6-1 in the Natwest series in England just over 2 weeks ago.
Australia are the defending champions, they won the tournament for the 1st time in 2006 when it was staged in India, on that occasion they defeated the West Indies in the final.
England were runners up to the West Indies back in 2004 they also hosted the competition that year.
It would take a brave person to Betagainst Australia defending their title.

England were terrible. We don't look like taking wickets when we need to either, which is a worry. Still, reaching the semi finals isn't too bad, and hopefully we can build on it when we take on South Africa in the ODI series in November/December :).

That was very good for England seeing they are ranked 7th in the world.:p

Howcome when England lose, their supporters say how bad they played, and giving no credit to anyone that thrashes them, but when they win,(which they occasionally do)they are hailed as the best team in the world.Lets be honest,England can't play pressure cricket, neither Test,Twenty/20,orODIs.....Against Australia they played as well as they were allowed to play.
