Hampshire batsman, Michael Carberry has been called into England's touring squad of South Africa, as cover for the injured Paul CollingwoodCollingwood injured his finger during England's innings and 98 run victory against South Africa last week.

Should Collingwood miss the 3rd Test match which starts in Cape Town on Sunday it will be a bitter blow to England as Collingwood has looked in very good touch in the middle order.

Collingwood scored a superb 91 in Durban last week and this England take what proved to be a match winning lead.

Collingwood has skippered England in the shorter forms of the game indeed he was in charge for the Twenty20 World Cup which was held in England last summer.

As well as being a solid middle order batsman and handy bowler Collingwood also has a reputation of being one of the finest fielders in world cricket.

South Africa will be hoping to get back into the series with a victory in Cape Town this week.
