I'd like to introduce you to ADAM... Or to be more precise ADAMS (Anti Doping Administration and Management System), the drug whereabouts application run to keep tabs on athletes for drugs testers. Like Andy Murray, my reaction to being picked for the programme hasn't been particularly positive. Well done they said, you're the highest ranked batter in your National side, you've been picked for the IRTP (International Registered Testing Pool). This is the pool of 16 female players and 64 male players who make up the crème de la crème of world cricket. The better you are the more likely you are to be taking drugs right? So you're the ones that should be monitored more closely...

The good news is that cricket as a global sport is finally coming under the protocols of WADA (the World Anti Doping Agency). Remember what happened when Pakistan male players failed drugs tests but weren't under WADA rules so could appeal bans and continue playing international cricket?
