Former England Opening batsman Marcus Trescothick, has suffered a relapse of his stress related illness at the Champions League in India.
Trescothick was competing in the event with his county Somerset but he has now flown home to be with his family.
Back in March 2006 Trescothick was forced to leave England's tour of India when he suffered the same illness, later that year he also had to abandon England's tour of Australia.
At his best Trescothick was one of the most devastating opening batsmen in world cricket and Somerset will be very disappointed with this latest development.
While one does sympathize with Trescothick because of his illness it does beg the question, if he had retired from International Cricket because of the illness and did not want to tour with England because of it, what made him think that playing the Champions League in India with Somerset would be any different.
It is hard to see Somerset upsetting the Betting Oddsand winning the title.
