Did you know that international players are traveling (on average) more than 120,000km every seven years? Can you imagine what that would do to your personal life? Your relationships? I guess it's kind of easy to understand why players like Freddy (Flintoff), Warney, & other major names go a little off the rails, from time to time.

For instance...
From 30 September 2000, to 1 October 2007, the following players covered these distances:
  • Rahul Dravid - 730,000km
  • Ricky Ponting - 810,000km
  • Jaques Kallis - 610,000km
It kind'a makes me wonder how I'd cope if it were me.
But, regardless of anything, I still don't understand how guys like Hanse Cronje, Shoaib Aktar, Maurice Odumbe, & Javed Miandad live with themselves (well, I guess Cronje doesn't have to worry about it)...

I'm just referring to their collectively misguided sense of 'sportsmanship'. Their ball tampering, match fixing, involvement with illicit bookies, steroid taking, & straight out cheating, is a disgrace to the game... however the pressures that all the travel puts on players personal lives is still no excuse for their behavior (which, in my opinion, has been motivated simply by greed).

Thats's all I meant
