Englandfound themselves in a strong position at the close of Day 1 of the 2nd Test Match against South Africa in Durban.
South Africa had won the toss and elected to bat first and the tourists were soon in all sorts of trouble as they lost Ashwell Prince and Hashim Amla to fins themselves 10-2.
But a brilliant 150 run partnership between captain Graeme Smith and star batsman Jacques Kallis brought South Africa back into the contest.
Graeme Swann then dismissed Kallis before Smith was run out, JP Dumminy was then adjudged LBW off the bowling of Graham Onions and England regained control.
England managed to sneak a draw in the 1st Test Match they were 9 wickets down at the close, but Graham Onions and Paul Collingwood held firm as the tourists sealed the draw.
Should South Africa win the series by a margin of 2 games or more they will move back to number 1 in the World Test Match rankings.
