Englandstunned Sri Lanka by securing a 6 wicket victory in their 1st game in the ICC Champions Trophy.
Sri Lanka have been playing some very good One day cricket in recent times and they came into the match as heavy favourites against an England side that were thrashed 6-1 at home by Australia last week.
Sri Lanka batted 1st and they struggled to a below par total of 212 all out, it could have been even worse as they were 17-4 at one stage, but 53 from Kandamby and 52 from Angelo Matthews helped them to post a respectable total.
England appeared to be in trouble early on when they were 19-2 but former England captain Paul Collingwood got his team's innings back on track with a breezy innings of 46, and Eoin Morgan made a brilliant 64 to finish the game and hand England a shock victory.
England's next game is tomorrow against South Africa and they will have to be at their best if they are to upset the Betting Odds and beat the hosts.

Great victory for England we deserved it too after how well Anderson bowled. Collingwood did well to get us out of a bit of trouble with the bat too.
