Fans protest against Pak show
Irate fans staged demonstrations in several parts of Karachi and burnt effigies of players and PCB chairman Ejaz Butt.
Fed up with Pakistan cricket team's ongoing dismal performance in Australia, around 300 protesters including club players and officials gathered outside the Karachi Press Club raising slogans against the Pakistan Cricket Board chief Butt, captain Mohammad Yousuf and other players.

"Enough is enough President Asif Zardari should also pay attention to what is happening in cricket which is our passion and national game and which gives us few moments to rejoice," club official Babar Khan said.

Player Tauseef Raza said that the performance of the national team Down Under had touched new lows and there was a need to make some changes in the team as well as in PCB.

Pakistan had lost the Test 0-2 at the hands of Australia and are now trailing 0-4 in the five-match ODI series.

Chief selector Iqbal Qasim said the board would review the performance of the team and also look into reports about groupism within the side when it returns from Australia.

"Definitely we need to move forward and we will take hard decisions after the postmortem is completed," Qasim said.

He, however, made it clear that replacing or retaining the captain was not the domain of the national selectors.

"The decision on captaincy will be taken by the PCB not us. But we will definitely review performances of all players," he added.
