Gautam Gambhir will miss the third Test against Sri Lanka in Mumbai, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced.
Left-hand batsman Gambhir, who scored back-to-back centuries in Ahmedabad and the ongoing Test in Kanpur, has withdrawn from the team in order to attend to his sister's wedding.
India's selectors have decided not to make any changes to the team picked for the first two Tests, which means no replacement has been called for Gambhir.
"Gautam Gambhir will not be available for the Test, on account of his sister's wedding on 3 December," the BCCI said.
"The strength of the squad for the Mumbai Test will thus be 14."
"The All-India Senior Selection Committee has retained the same side for the third Test of the ongoing series against Sri Lanka, to be played at Mumbai from 2 December 2009 to 6 December 2009," BCCI secretary N Srinivasan said in a statement today.

Indian Team: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (capt), Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Amit Mishra, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, M Vijay, Pragyan Ojha, S Sreesanth and S Badrinath.
The final Test starts on December 2.
