England have left out Pace bowler Steve Harmisonfrom their squad to tour South Africa next month.
Harmison took the cricket world by storm back in 2004, when he picked up 7-12 in Jamaica as England bowled out the West Indies for just 47 and sealed a crushing victory.
However since that match Harmison's performances have been very inconsistent and he appears to have payed the price as England have left him out.
A few week's ago Harmison went on record as saying that he wanted some assurances from the English Cricket board about his International future Harmison indicated that if England did not require his services any longer then he would retire.
Harmison also made it clear that he feels that he is at a stage in his career where he is no longer prepared to be a 12th man he feels he still has a part to play for England in their final 11.

It would take a brave person to Beton England winning the Test Series in South Africa.
