I remember last year in the KFC 20/20 Gilchrist hit about 4 in a row some of the best sixes ive ever seen.

Well im only young so this is coming from my generation, i think Gilchrist has hit some fantastic 6's and i think he still has a few left. Especially in the Ash's this year he went off.

Jacob Oram's hitting during the recent VB series in Perth was quite unbelievable. I remember there was one six he hit of McGrath with a pull shot, low and hard. One of the best sounding cricket shots I've heard in a while as well.

Lance Cairns - 52 from 25 balls (v Aus in about 1983?)- now THAT was some serious power hitting!

And let's not forget about IVA Richards with the fastest test 100... 52 balls (7x6s & 7x4s)!
AND he's got the highest ODI average for any batsmen who's played more than 100 matches.

However, I must agree, Shahid Afridi is one of the most consistently prolific hitters we've seen. He's in good company, too, with the likes of Richards, Botham, Gilchrist, Jayasuria, Cairns, & Sobers.
