Former Pakistan cricket captain, Inzamam-ul-Haq has expressed fears that Pakistan may have to starve for a long time before international cricket resumes on its soil.
Talking to media persons on the sidelines of the marriage ceremony of opening batsman Imran Nazir, Haq said the foreign teams would hesitate more to visit Pakistan following the brazen terror attack on the Sri Lankan cricket players.
Commenting on the ban imposed on the Pakistani cricketers who sided with the rebel Indian Cricket League (ICL), from playing international cricket, he urged the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to allow them to play for Pakistan too.
Players associated with Indian Cricket League (ICL) have been allowed to participate in first class cricket here and they must also be permitted to play international cricket, The News quoted Haq, as saying.
He said that the Pakistan cricket squad should not lose any opportunity to play in international events at any foreign location, given the fact they have been out of the game for long. (ANI)
