Indian Premier League has become a big boiling pot, and the ongoing churning on a day-to-day basis is having new manifestations. The telecast rights for the second season of the IPL have already graced the haloed portals of Bombay High Court. After the matter reached the court, peace was brokered between the two warring parties and an amicable settlement was arrived at between the governing council of the Indian Premier League and Sony Television. As a result now Sony Television has been able to retain the telecast rights for season two of the cash-rich Twenty20 tournament. It has also been learnt that Sony would be paying an undisclosed amount to the organizers of the IPL.
