Ishank Jaggi, who steered East Zone to victory on Saturday in Deodhar Trophy event, is hoping that his continuous show in domestic cricket will help make debut in the second edition of the Indian Premier League.

Jaggi scored a brilliant unbeaten 110 to lead East to a comfortable win over North.

The 20-year-old youngster, who has been recently roped in by Royal Challengers Bangalore, says his consistent performance will help him make the cut in the playing XI.

"Bangalore called me up for the trials after the one-dayers. I performed there and they immediately took me up for the future prospect. I am happy for it and looking forward to the second edition of the IPL. It's just the start of my career and I have to be consistent enough," Jaggi said.

"Hopefully I will play for the next season. But if I am consistent and keep performing I may get a chance to play in the playing XI also."
