Jacques Kallis scored his 2nd century of the series to give South Africa hope at the close of day 1 of the 3rd Test Match against England at Cape Town.
The home side looked to be in all sorts of trouble at 1-1 and then again towards the middle of the innings as the in form Graeme Swann picked up 2 wickets in as many balls to rock South Africainnings as the in form Graeme Swann picked up 2 wickets in as many balls to rock South Africa.
South Africa need a good showing in this match, they lost the 2nd Test Match last week by an innings and 98 runs and they now find themselves 1-0 down in the series with just one more game remaining after this one.
4 years ago England upset South Africa and managed to win the series 2-1 in South Africa, however in the summer of 2008 South Africa got their revenge by beating England by the same score in England.
Kallis will be hoping that he can pass his career best score of 189 tomorrow.
