New Zealand’s cricketers, who are currently on a tour of Australia, have lodged a formal complaint with Cricket Australia over the abuse being hurled in their direction by Australian fans.

According to a report in the Courier Mail, the players complained that they were taunted as “*******” during the first Test in Brisbane.Kiwi fast bowler Iain O’Brien has described the Brisbane crowd as “embarrassing” and claimed the Black Caps were subjected to repeated and systematic abuse at the Gabba.

“I don’t know how many times I was called a ‘******’,” O’Brien wrote on his personal blog.“You get called anything and everything. Embarrassing for these guys really, as lots of others around them, are cringing. The crowds here are pretty good, ruined by a few — actually quite a few — idiots who think a day out at the cricket is just to abuse the guys playing, any way how,” he added.

This is a common re-occurrence for New Zealand when they tour Australia. It's something that can be controlled, but not completely eradicated

However, the same thing generally happens when Australia tour New Zealand too. The Auckland crowd in particular is known to give it to the Australian's.
