South Australia's bold batting hero Graham Manou has praised his team's lower-order after they aided him in a storming century against Victoria in Melbourne on Monday.

Manou, 28, blasted 105 not out from 161 deliveries in a vital Pura Cup knock on day one of the Pura Cup clash at the Junction Oval.

He and No.11 Paul Rofe added a scintillating 65 runs from 35 balls for the last wicket to swell the Redbacks' first innings total to 320 after they had slumped to 5-122.

In reply, Victoria was 2-9 at stumps.
