I think Martin Crowe is right about politics being the reason behind Zimbabwe’s continuation as a Test nation. It’s the biggest joke in international cricket right now.

I think Robert Mugabe and his regime have killed cricket in Zimbabwe forever. It’s scary to think how quickly the national team has gone downhill.

But how can you banish a team from the Test-playing club for something that is not its fault? How is it going to help the morale of the country?

Right now, I think the country is more worried about where the next meal is coming from rather than worry about the status of the national team.

I think Bangladesh will have a chance to improve its abysmal record in the series against Zim at the end of this month. Before that, Zimbabwe are apparently planning a tour of South Africa to prepare for the tour by playing an unnamed South African academy and two provincial sides! And this to prepare for a tour of Bangladesh….the situation really can’t get much worse, can it?
