Kyle Mills has been ruled out of New Zealand's tour of South Africa next month after suffering a calf strain.
Mills picked up the injury during the A team Tour of Australia and the news comes only a week after batsman Peter Fulton was sidelined with a knee injury.
The 28-year-old Mills, who was using that tour to complete his recovery from knee surgery, will be replaced by Wellington's Iain O'Brien.
"The selectors are not satisfied that Kyle will be fit enough to leave with the team next week and decided to remove him from the Test section of the tour," said team manager Lindsay Crocker.
