"New coaching staff after Oz series"
The Pakistan Cricket Board is planning to have a new coaching staff in place at the end of the ongoing one-day series Down Under.
Livid with the national team's so far disastrous show in Australia, PCB chairman Ejaz Butt said he was looking for a new coaching staff for the national team.

"Coaching is a very difficult job so I don't want to comment on it but yes we are looking at options to hire batting and fielding coaches foreign or local for the national team," he told a press conference in Lahore.

"The problem is no foreign coach is willing to come to Pakistan in present security conditions and a local coach appears to be a more feasible prospect," Butt said.

Pakistan, after being blanked 0-3 in the Test series, lost the first one-dayer against Australia in Brisbane on Friday. Chief coach Intikhab Alam and captain Mohammad Yousuf have been heavily criticised for their failure to bring about any improvements in the team.

Intikhab had replaced Australian Geoff Lawson as coach in October 2008 after the Australian fell out with Butt and was told to resign and return home.

Pakistan in the past has also hired other foreign coaches including the late Bob Woolmer, who had a three and a half year stint with the team, and Richard Pybus, who twice worked as coach between 2000 and 2003.
