New Zealandproduced a stunning display to beat England and qualify for the Semi Finals of the ICC Champions Trophy in South Africa.
England had been playing some good One Day cricket in recent times having beaten South Africa and Sri Lanka in their previous group matches.
However they came up short against a talented New Zealand outfit. New Zealand had won the toss and elected to field 1st and they would have been delighted to bowl England out for 146, on a pitch that appeared to provide some help for the bowlers.
Brendon McCcullum (48) and Martin Guptil (53) then gave New Zealand the perfect to their run chase putting on 84 for the 1st wicket.
New Zealand did somewhat lose their way as 6 wickets went down but they still managed to get over the line with over 22 overs to spare.
The emphatic nature of New Zealand's victory means that they top the group, while England finish 2nd in the group and Andrew Strauss's men will face either Pakistan or Australia in the Semi Finals.
If New Zealand can maintain this form then they have every chance of upsetting the Betting Odds and winning this title for the 2nd time in their history.
