The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is confident they will be able to host the upcoming one-day series against Zimbabwe as scheduled despite security fears.
The tour, which starts on January 14 and features two warm-up games and five one-day matches, had been in doubt because of the turmoil spawned by the assassination of Pakistan's former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.
But while the PCB's media director, Dr Ahsan Malik, admitted the first ODI is likely to be switched from Hyderabad, he confirmed the matches will go ahead.
He told The News: "The series (against Zimbabwe) should take place on the same dates but there is a possibility of some changes being made to the venue list.
"A top PCB official will be contacting Zimbabwe Cricket authorities to discuss the tour and the venues."
