All rounder Kieron Pollardsmashed 54 from just 18 balls to help Trinidad and Tobago seal a fine victory against New South Wales.
New South Wales managed to post a formidable total of 170 from their 20 overs and this appeared to be more than enough when Trinidad was reduced to 30-3 in the 5th over.
However Pollard's blistering innings which included 5 4's and 5's saw Trinidad and Tobago home with 9 balls to spare.
Trinidad stunned the cricket world last year when they won the regional Stanford Twenty20 competition beating Jamaica in the final.

last year when they won the regional Stanford Twenty20 competition beating Jamaica in the final. Daren Ganga's men are also unbeaten in this tournament having beaten Somerset and the Deccan Chargers in the group stages.
Now that the West Indies have resolved their contractual depute they will be hoping for much such performances from the likes of Kieron Pollard.
Despite this performance it is hard to see Trinidad upsetting the Betting Oddsand winning the title.
