Whether or not the Proteas complete a 2-0 series victory in Pakistan what is crystal clear is that South Africa’s top batsmen have made major advances in their ability to play spin bowling on the Asian sub-continent.

The fact that they were able to set Pakistan victory targets of 424 in Karachi and now 457 in Lahore is self-sufficient evidence of the manner in which the Proteas batsmen have taken their game forward.

Any team that has a world-class player of Jacques Kallis’ calibre in its middle-order is blessed indeed and the Proteas No. 4 has lived up to every expectation with three centuries in the two-Test series, an improved South African record of 421 runs and an average of 210.5.

I'm pleased to know that SA are making inroads with the ability to play spin bowling.
Let's face it: They couldn't have got too much worse at it... Warnie tore them a new arse, last time the payed Oz (both at home & away)!

Although I seem to remember Brett Lee & Stuart Clark teaching them a thing or two, as well! ;)
