The West Indiesmay currently be going through a crisis as they dispute between the senior players and the board rumbles on, but there is no doubt about the fact that earlier this year, the Guyanese batsman Ramnaresh Sarwan came of age.
For many years now Sarwan has been regarded as one of the most talented batsman in world cricket but on England's tour of the West Indies earlier this year Sarwan was nothing short of outstanding.
Sarwan made a superb 106 in the 1st Test Match in Jamaica as the West Indies sealed a comprehensive victory, he backed this up with scores of 94 and 104 in the 2nd Test. and as if that wasn't enough he made a career best 291 in the 3rd Test Match in Barbados.
Sarwan was understandably named as Man of the Series for his heroic efforts, the West Indies clinched that series 1-0.

Sarwan will need to be on top of his game if the West Indies are to defy the Oddsand win the next ICC World Cup in 2011.
