Sri Lanka confirmed their place in the Quadrangular Twenty20 final against Pakistan with a 20-run win over a plucky Canada side in King City.

Sri Lanka racked up an imposing 153 for seven before Canada were bowled out for 133 in 20 overs.

Captain Mahela Jayawardene, back after missing yesterday's match against Pakistan, top scored with 35 from 21 balls before Tillakaratne Dilshan (26) and Nuwan Kulasekera (19 not out) boosted Sri Lanka late on after WD Balaji Rao picked up the wickets of Jayawardene, Jeevantha Kulatunga (11) and Thilina Kandamby (nought).

There were also two wickets for Abzal Dean.

Canada were once again led by Rizwan Cheema, who hit six sixes on his way to 68 from 43 balls despite Canada being reduced to 14 for three with Dilhara Fernando taking all three wickets.

Cheema's assault was ended when he became the third of four victims for spinner Ajantha Mendis as only three other batsmen could make double figure scores.

Fernando finished with three for 24 and Dilhara Lokuhettige wrapped up proceedings with two for six in two overs.

The final takes place tomorrow with Canada meeting Zimbabwe for the third/fourth place play-off.
