Graeme Swannhit a career best 85 as England fought back against South Africa, the tourists appeared to be in trouble at 220-7 but Swann played with freedom and aggression to get his side back into the match.
South Africa made 418 in their 1st innings and would have been very confident of taking a huge 1st innings lead, but Swann's innings ensured that England only conceded a deficit of 63 runs.
A victory for South Africa in this series by a 2 game margin will see them regain the number 1 ranking for Test Match cricket Swann was also the hero with the ball when South Africa batted in their 1st innings as took the 3rd 5 wicket haul of his career.
This is the 1st Test of a 5 Match series and Swann will be hoping that he can continue to play an instrumental part in England's fortunes.

It would take a brave person to Betagainst South Africa winning this game.
