Uncapped duo handed Zim chance
Uncapped pair Greg Lamb and Shingirai Masakadza have been called up to the Zimbabwe squad for their tour to the West Indies.
Zimbabwe tour to the West Indies is starting later this month.
The two are included in the final 15-man list, which will be led by Prosper Utseya and also includes experienced former captain Tatenda Taibu, for a trip that will include one Twenty20 international and five one-day games.
Batsman Lamb, 28, has spent the past five years at county side Hampshire and has been in outstanding form in Zimbabwe's domestic league since returning to the country of his birth, averaging more than 50 in both first-class and limited overs cricket.
All-rounder Masakadza, the younger brother of vice-captain Hamilton, has also been showcasing his talent, especially with the ball in the four-day game where has taken 40 wickets.
Zimbabwe is currently trying to rebuild the sport in the country after a turbulent period in which politics and cricket became intertwined.
They begin their campaign in the Caribbean with a warm-up match against a UWI Vice Chancellor's XI in Barbados on February 26.
The Zimbabwe squad: Prosper Utseya (captain), Brendan Taylor, Tatenda Taibu, Hamilton Masakadza, Ray Price, Graeme Cremer, Charles Coventry, Vusi Sibanda, Stuart Matsikenyeri, Greg Lamb, Elton Chigumbura, Shingirai Masakadza, Timycen Maruma, Chris Mpofu, Kyle Jarvis.
