Legendary pacer Wasim Akram has given the thumbs up to Indian pace spearhead Zaheer Khan and said that he had become a vastly improved bowler.
"He's improved as a bowler - psychologically, mentally and physically," Akram told Mobile ESPN.
Analysing his performance in the first Test against Pakistan, he said "Being a fast bowler you need to talk to yourself; run in every ball and pick up one wicket for my team and then we can finish up the tail."
Stating that Zaheer had done exactly that for his team, Akram said "He came back and picked up a wicket with a loosener. The he mixed it up well."
Akram, widely regarded as the sultan of swing, also praised Shoaib Akhtar for his splendid effort in the Test match.
"He tried really hard and bowled very well but did not get any support," he said.
